Jeremy, Your Moment of Eternity
Jeremy,
I prayed for you countless times during your painful process
of physical battle. I believed with you for your complete healing. I’m
sitting here in my house some thirty minutes after the news of your passing in
shock that the phone call didn’t give news of your improvement.
It’s snowing! It’s snowing in Atlanta right outside the
hospital window, so I’m told. The snow started falling the moment you met
Jesus. Jesus! You’re with Jesus, Jeremy! You wanted to see Him and be with Him for
eternity. I remember the many times you talked about this very subject. That
time has come.
You always made me smile while you were here. You’re making me smile now at the thought of your bright smile, painless new body, and perfect
energy to embrace Jesus with your extremely strong hug. You always had faith
for this moment. Now, it’s your reality.
I believe it started snowing to remind us of how special and
unique you are. Each snowflake is unlike the other. It has a short span of time
to exist, but as it does, the beauty of its uniqueness can never be matched.
That’s you, Jeremy. Your span of time wasn’t long enough and your path of
existence wasn’t easy. But, you were unique, beautiful, and loved. We know of
your impact. You see, unlike the snowflake, you will leave an everlasting impression; never fading from the hearts you fell upon.
I love you, Jeremy. You are healed. Now, live your moment of eternity.
