You

You ever wonder what could silence the songs of angels, cause Satan to rage with jealousy and tremble with fear, or move the Creator to form with His hands instead of speak with His mouth? If you've read Genesis 1 and 2, you quickly find the answer to be humbling and encouraging...YOU.

I've seen images of galaxies with billions of stars displaying breathtaking views from the Hubble Telescope. The majesty of the universe and complexity of its essence is mind boggling. The earth itself is host to indescribable beauty from directly outside our front door to the most exotic locations on the planet. Heavens, sea, land, animal, and nature is indeed amazing. God the Creator spoke all those things into existence.

However, YOU are in no comparison to anything else. God the Creator formed, fashioned, crafted you with his own hands. That is the meaning of [asah] which comes from "And God said, Let us make man in our own image..."in Genesis 1:26 (NIV). It is a significant difference for the Creator to say, "Let there be" and then say, "Let us make." He took the time and the meticulousness in your design. The human body with its intrinsic functioning defies all comprehension. He commanded the land to produce living creatures according to their kind in Genesis 1:24. Again, He spoke it. In Genesis 2:7, He gave even more of Himself to you. He breathed the breath of life into your nostrils and you became a living being. Not by land, by a mother and father, or even by His word alone, but by His breath you live. His exhaling into you was your first inhaling. Astounding!

It's no wonder the enemy of our soul thrives on attacking you for the purpose of destruction. He constantly works to tear down your self-esteem. He wants you to believe you are nothing; you are a mistake, you are worthless; you are ugly. I challenge you to behold the reflection you see on a daily basis as more than what others describe or what you may identify as yourself. Visualize your value as a masterpiece. You are beautiful! Never perfect, but you were created in perfection and bought with perfection - Jesus. All of the wonders around us show His glory. But what shows His true nature? YOU.

Before you ever took a breath
Long before the earth began
Of all the wonders He possessed
There was one more precious
Of all the earth and skies above
You're the one He madly loves
Enough to death

You're beautiful
You were meant for so much more than all of this
You're beautiful
You are treasured, you are sacred, you are His
