This time, on this day of June 10th, 2005, I knew you would be my second son. Withholding your identity until birth was an argument I didn't win, as I did for your brother. What I didn't know was what type of son you would be. All emotions are experienced in parenthood during the process of your child's development. As you now reach twenty years of age, I am thankful for who you are. I reminisce to visualize as many moments as I can from birth until now. Never think that the pride I hold as your dad comes from September 21, 2023, watching you receive formal recognition as a US Marine. It started on June 10th, 2005, watching you come into the world, and has grown every day since. The statement "Happy Birthday" is for the individual who is aging another year.
